staten island real estate

Ben : Grymes Hill

My goal was to effectively market and stage Ben’s home to it’s full potential. Preparing the home, neighborhood knowledge, providing updated data and staying in communication constantly made for a successful home sale.

This is what the Happy Client had to say about their home selling experience:

We recently worked with Holly selling our Grymes Hill home. Holly provided first class service from start for finish. Holly started by providing a detailed market analysis to help us price our home. Holly then worked with us to make sure the interior and exterior of the home was in top shape for showing and took professional photos for the listing. Holly attended every showing and kept us posted during all points of negotiations with potential buyers. Ultimately we found a buyer and got a great price for the home. Thank you, Holly!!!!

Harley & Tom : Sunset Hill

IMG_6684

Time was a huge factor moving from Manhattan to Staten Island for Harley & Tom. Both worked in Manhattan and their daughter was attending school there also. They wanted an easy commute into New York City, but also had a specific type of home in mind. I worked aggressively to line up home showings including some FSBO because of low inventory. I was able to find the perfect colonial home in Sunset Hill to fit their lifestyle, and close the deal in three weeks!

This is what the happy clients had to say about their home buying process:

I did not know Holly and when I got off of the Staten Island Ferry, I was lost and wandering when she had spotted me.

She instantly puts you at ease and served as a well informed tour guide pointing out local hot spots, cheap gas stations, art galleries, parks and recreational centers, etc. She had lined up about 4/5 houses and had a very firm grasp on what we were looking for with regard to budget and overall housing needs.

We found the perfect house on our very first day! She had amazing recommendations for home inspector, roofer, general contractor and for anything else for which we inquired. She kept all parties on track to expedite our closing which she miraculously was able to have happen within THREE WEEKS!!!

I can’t speak highly enough about her professionalism and dedication and would recommend no one but her if you are looking to buy on Staten Island. As a native of Staten Island and member of The Chamber of Commerce, Holly is the only person you need to know for all things Staten Island!

Dina: Eltingville

Dina: Eltingville

Having worked with Dina on her last home sale, it was a pleasure to be helping Dina again. This time around she was looking to down size and already found a home to move into. A strategic plan of action was set into motion to market and sell her beautiful home so she may move into her new home in a specific time frame.

In between fostering dogs for Louie’s Legacy and preparing for her move this is what happy client Dina had to say about her home selling experience:

Selling your home can be very overwhelming. With all of Holly’s experience and knowledge of every aspect of real estate made this life change for me much easier! She made a point to be on top of every single detail that went into selling my home. She is always available for any questions and concerns I may have had! I would only ever recommend Holly for anyone’s real estate needs whether buying or selling your home.

7 Developments On Staten Island’s North Shore That We’re Excited About

2015 has been an exciting year so far for Staten Island’s North Shore. With developments happening just about everywhere, it is hard to keep up-to-date with all of the progress and changes. As I launch my own business, Holly’s Staten Island Buzz Realty Inc.,  one of my goals is to keep you informed about the “buzz” on Staten Island’s North Shore.

Back in January 2014, I posted about Developments on Staten Island’s North Shore. Below are some updates on those exciting projects & more:

Accolade Condos

Located in the heart of St. George, The Accolade Condos consists of a 101-unit building that offers a combination of studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condominiums. These condominiums are currently for sale, offering elegance, convenience, extraordinary amenities and stunning views.

I recently discovered that the Accolade Condos is over 90% sold out, and this is without a grand opening! Buyers from Staten Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn and outside the city have been taking advantage of the fine amenities Bay Street Landing offers. Danielle, Bulls Head

91-Renee--Sold-1000w

Danielle was referred to me by a friend. She had marketed her family home previously with no avail, and was searching for a Realtor who would listen and understand her needs. Providing a strategic marketing plan, I set into motion a way to reach her goals and make the sale of her Staten Island home happen.

This is what the happy client Danielle had to say about her home selling experience:

Holly was such a pleasure to work with. She made the process of selling the house, fun, simple, convenient, and stress free. Not only is she excellent at what she does, as a highly qualified and knowledgable realtor, but she is intinsically a good person. I’m glad I’ve had the pleasure of listing with her and I highly recommend her.

Notre Dame Academy

NotreDame

Located on a 13-acre campus at 78-78 Howard Avenue in Grymes Hill, Notre Dame Academy is a private Catholic girls’ school consisting of an elementary school (Pre-K- 8) and a high school (9-12). Notre Dame serves approximately 700 students and provides an education in the Catholic tradition while being open to girls of all faiths.

Notre Dame Academy was founded in 1903 after Mr. William Miller-Jones traveled to Montreal to ask the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame to come and start a school on Staten Island. The school opened in September 1903 and was called the Academy of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.

Notre Dame Academy High School offers a college preparatory liberal arts and STEM (science technology, engineering, mathematics) curriculum. In addition to fulfilling the requirements for a Regents diploma with Advanced Designation, students also have the opportunity to take a selection of Advanced Placement courses and earn college credits through its affiliation with a nearby University. Students are offered an array of electives, activities and athletic teams.

St. John’s University

StJohns

Located at 300 Howard Ave and overlooking the scenic New York Bay atop of Grymes Hill, St. John’s University is a private, Roman Catholic, coeducational university serving over 2,000 students who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Founded by the Congregation of the Mission in 1870, the school was originally located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant. Beginning in the 1950s, the school relocated to its current location to Utopia Parkway in Hillcrest, Queens. St. John’s has a total of six campuses: Hillcrest, Staten Island, Manhattan, Rome, Oakdale, NY and a Paris campus.

The Staten Island campus offers students 16.5-acres of rolling and wooded lawns, apartment-style student residences and a variety of architectural styles. The site of the Grymes Hill campus was originally purchased in the early 20th Century by immigrant John Gans. For over thirty years between 1930 and 1970 the estate became the home of Notre Dame College, a premier women’s college on Staten Island. In 1971, Notre Dame College consolidated with St. John’s University and the Staten Island campus of SJU became a reality, offering undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, business and education.
