Grymes Hill a North Shore neighborhood offers some of the most spectacular views of the lower New York Bay and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. It is also home of Wagner College, and the Staten Island campus of St. John’s University. Nearby for elementary aged students is PS 35 located at 60 Foote Ave.
As a mother of a track and field athlete, I remember those days well: driving up to the Armory Track and Field Center in Manhattan to watch my daughters participate in Indoor Track. This venture included a one-hour-long drive each way (with another hour to find parking), limited seating, and thousands of athletes.
